Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how VantagePrompt uses cookies and similar technologies. In short: we use only the cookies needed to run the Service, to remember how you asked it to look, and to process payments securely. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things like your logged-in session. Some cookies are set by us (first-party) and some by service providers we use, such as our payment processor (third-party).

2. Cookies we use

CookiePurposeTypeDuration
vantageprompt-sessionKeeps you signed in and maintains your sessionStrictly necessarySession (expires after inactivity)
XSRF-TOKENProtects forms against cross-site request forgeryStrictly necessarySession
remember_web_*Keeps you signed in between visits — set only if you tick “remember me”Strictly necessary (opt-in)Persistent (until you sign out)
appearanceRemembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, so the page is rendered in the right one by our server before any script runs — without it the site would flash the wrong theme on every loadStrictly necessary (display preference)1 year
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sidSet by Stripe on billing pages for payment and fraud preventionStrictly necessary (payment)Up to 1 year / 30 minutes

Your theme choice is kept in two places for one purpose: a copy in your browser’s local storage, and the appearance cookie above. The cookie is the one our server reads, so that the page arrives already in your theme instead of flashing the wrong one. It holds a single word — light, dark, or system — and nothing that identifies you.

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive — in Romania, Legea 506/2004 art. 4 alin. (5) — consent is needed before anything is stored on or read from your device, cookies and browser storage alike, *unless* it is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for. Everything in the table above is: your session, the security token that protects our forms, the payment cookies, and the theme you picked. We set no analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies or storage, so there is nothing left for a banner to ask you about. We would rather tell you that than show you a box that pretends you had a choice to make.

4. Third-party cookies

  • Stripe sets the payment cookies listed above when you visit a billing or checkout page. See Stripe’s own cookie and privacy notices for details.
  • Google may set its own cookies on Google’s domains if you choose to sign in with Google. Those cookies are governed by Google’s policies, not ours.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies we use are essential, blocking them will prevent you from signing in or completing a payment, and parts of the Service will not work.

6. Changes and contact

If we ever introduce new categories of cookies, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first. Questions? Contact us at contact@vantageprompt.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
